As we say goodbye to April, it seems like the perfect time to reflect on the changes that have been going on during this pivotal shift from Winter to Spring, and isn't Spring well and truly here!!
April has been GORGEOUS here with plenty of Sunshine and to say it's put a pep in my step would be an understatement!
I try to embrace the seasons as fully as possible, but I was clearly longing for Spring as these brighter days have really done me the world of good, and I truly hope that is the case for you too!!
With Sunshine comes FLOWERS, and the difference these past few weeks has made is incredible! Anyone else blown away year on year when life just starts bursting at the seams (it seems) everywhere you look?!
The daffodils are a joy to see each morning in the garden, but the star of the show to me is the delicate but floriferous Geums (see photos). A gorgeous secondary/ filler flower for arrangements, and one of my absolute faves! Who wouldn't love that little beauty in a bouquet?! <3
Speaking of, I have been working hard on the website post-half marathon and you may have noticed a new addition to the shop... I am so, so, so excited to be able to offer Subscription flower bouquets for the Summer season, filled with the freshest, most gorgeous British blooms. I have spent hours and hours pouring over catalogues selecting the varieties and colours of flowers that are going into the Summer bouquets and have hundreds of seedlings growing in my little garden greenhouses (a little behind may I add, as although the days have been warm, until this week, the nights have been cold, but they are starting to fly up now! Soon I won't know what to do with them all, as is the case every year!)
I will be filling the bouquets with homegrown and locally grown seasonal flowers; an absolute treat!
I hope you love the flowers I have chosen and if you have any questions about this, please don't hesitate to drop me a message :)
For more updates and behind the scenes, don't forget to follow my Instagram account where I post regularly.
Here's to a a most joyful and colourful May!! (Anyone lucky enough to be visiting Chelsea Flower Show?! Let me know in the comments!)
Wishing you a wonderful rest of the week, Peace & Love, Meg x
